I am a geekette, a tinkerer, a researcher, a writer, and above all a bridge-builder. Passionate about the social web, I like to connect people and help them out.
Professionally, I go by the title Project Manager or Web Producer, and have many software development projects under my belt. I like to keep projects lean and focussed. I emphasize usability, and I've been known to wireframe extensively before anyone does any visual design or coding. I know my way around a command line, code does not make me cross-eyed, and I once actually did replace an entire department with a tiny shell script. However, I'm most comfortable working with people instead of code. I just use use my meager and frustrating PHP & Perl experiences to inform my ability to translate between normal people and programmers. It helps.
I also like to consult on the subject of business process, especially project process for small software and design companies, and on using social media for personal branding.
